Only someone who has been there can truly understand.  Otsar originally began as a support group for parents and families raising children with developmental disabilities. These parents were there for each other understanding and supporting the day to day challenges.  Although Otsar has since grown into a full service cutting edge agency, our original goal has not changed.  Parents need support just as much as their child.  Sometimes, only another parent can truly understand what it means to raise a child with special needs in our community.  Only another parent with first hand experience can understand the challenges and joys involved in raising this child and the impact it may have on the family dynamics.  For this reason, Otsar hosts Parent-Share, several support groups and workshops that are designed to allow for the exchange of experiences and ideas through peer support group meetings.
